During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday in 2022 (from June 3 to June 5), the patronage of lines operated by BJMTR totaled 771,000. Among which, the patronage of Line 4-Daxing reached 375,000, and the patronage of Line 14 reached 312,000. Patronage of Line 16 and Line 17 reached 51,000 and 33,000 respectively.

To help users of Beijing Municipal Administration & Communication Card (Yikatong), including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots and foreign nationals, observe Beijing’s Covid protocols in a more convenient way, we will start the upgrade of Yikatong on Health Kit applet from June 3rd. The upgrade enables automatic verification of the passengers’ Covid-related health status on Health Kit when they use Yikatong to take public transport and improves travel efficiency as passengers no longer need to present the information manually.

At present, the ticketing system upgrade tests of Beijing is in progress! From June 3, a total of 25 metro lines with 321 stations and 536 bus lines of Beijing will provide passenger experience test service of the ticketing system upgrade.

In accordance with the requirements of epidemic prevention, since May 28, Beijing has successively launched ticketing system upgrade tests in 115 metro stations and 10 bus lines. During the test, the public transport ticketing system runs smoothly and orderly and the citizens respond positively. As of May 31, a total of 10.301 million Yikatong physical cards and riding codes have been upgraded.

The Dragon Boat Festival holiday will start from Friday, June 3 and end on Sunday, June 5. To ensure a safe and smooth travel of passengers during the holiday, Line 4 -Daxing, Line 14, Line 16 and Line 17 operated by BJMTR makes transportation plans and arrange train scheduling and epidemic prevention measures. Total patronage of lines operated by BJMTR expected to reach 522，000 during Dragon Boat Festival holiday this year.
