The Spring Festival travel rush of 2024 starts on January 26 and ends on March 5 with a period of 40 days. During the Spring Festival travel rush, to ensure the safe and smooth travel of passengers, BJMTR has taken various measures to closely monitor the weather and passenger flow, and to make arrangements for train operations and passenger flow guidance at stations with high passenger traffic.

During the Spring Festival holiday of 2024 (from February 10 to February 17), patronage of lines operated by BJMTR totals 8.303 million and a total of 14,112 train trips are dispatched. Among which, Line 4-Daxing accounts for a total of 4.743 million. Line 14 accounts for a total of 2.468 million and Line 16 accounts for 765,000. The south section of Line 17 accounts for a total of 156,000 and the north section of Line 17 accounts for a total of 171,000.

The Spring Festival holiday of 2024 will start on February 10 (the first day of the lunar calendar) and end on February 17 (the eighth day of the lunar calendar). To ensure the safety and stability of the Spring Festival holiday, BJMTR formulates various plans in advance for Line 4-Daxing, Line 14, Line 16 and Line 17 and organizes trains according to the passenger flow. During the Spring Festival holiday, patronage of lines operated by BJMTR is expected to reach 5.536 million, seeing an increase of 41% compared to the same period in 2023.

To enrich the passengers’ travel experience, BJMTR and the National Library jointly launched the 28th " Blessed Chinese New Year " themed event of M· Library.

Before the 2024 Spring Festival travel rush, the south section of Line 17 of BJMTR has officially implemented Fully Automatic Operation, further enhancing passenger travel experience.
