The Spring Festival 2023 travel rush starts on January 7 and ends on February 15, with a period of 40 days. To ensure the safety and stability of the Spring Festival travel rush in 2023, BJMTR formulates various plans in advance for Line 4-Daxing, Line 14, Line 16 and Line 17 and organizes trains and passenger flow guidance in stations with large passenger flow. During the Spring Festival 2023 travel rush period, the total patronage of the lines operated by BJMTR is expected to increase significantly compared with last year, reaching nearly 55.021 million, seeing an increase of about 11% compared with 2022.
Beijing South Railway Station of Line 4 and Line 14 operated by BJMTR connects to Beijing South Railway Station, Fengtai Railway Station of Line 16 connects to Beijing Fengtai Railway Station. Xizhimen station of Line 4 is close to Beijing North Railway Station. Dongfeng Beiqiao station of Line 14 is close to Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station. To ensure the smooth transfer to railway station，BJMTR will pay close attention to the change of passenger flow and weather conditions, communicate with the railway accordingly, grasp the information such as increased number of trains and the concentrated arrival time of passenger flow, formulate countermeasures, and make timely preparations for additional trains and extending operations to ensure smooth travel for passengers.
During the 2023 Spring Festival travel rush, the total patronage of Beijing South Railway Station of Line 4 and Line 14 is expected to reach 4.267 million, seeing an increase of about 10% compared with that of 2022. The total patronage of Fengtai Railway Station of Line 16 is expected to reach 924,000.
