Recently, BJMTR held a review and launch meeting for the "BJMTR Green Urban Rail Development Action Plan," during which the plan (hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan") was officially released. Leaders from the China Urban Rail Transit Association and experts from the rail transit industry attended the meeting. On the 15th anniversary of the opening of the first line of BJMTR, the Action Plan was completed under the guidance of the China Urban Rail Transit Association. It underwent expert review and received full recognition and high praise. The Action Plan outlines that BJMTR will focus on "green transformation as the main theme, clean energy as the direction, and energy conservation and low carbon as the key points" to guide future energy-saving and low-carbon efforts. This approach will play a significant role in promoting the construction of a green urban rail system for BJMTR.
In recent years, to support the achievement of the national "dual carbon" goals, BJMTR has drawn on the experiences of MTR in green and sustainable development while considering the low-carbon and environmentally friendly characteristics of the urban rail transit industry. Based on providing safe and high-quality travel services for passengers, BJMTR has continuously implemented multiple energy-saving and low-carbon projects. Following the release of the Action Plan, BJMTR will place greater emphasis on the practical application of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management concepts. The focus will be on creating a green, low-carbon, safe, and efficient development system, optimizing energy consumption structures, promoting the application of green low-carbon technologies, and enhancing passengers' green travel experience.
