BJMTR STEAM Education Project enters Huimin Primary School in Dongcheng District to explore the mysteries of escalators.

On September 26, 2024, BJMTR STEAM Education Project made its way into Huimin Primary School in Dongcheng District, one of the contracted schools for the project, bringing an exciting course “The Great Battle of Escalators” to over 40 students. Since its launch in July of this year, BJMTR STEAM Education Project has been promoted in multiple contracted schools. The program integrates professional knowledge in metro vehicles, communication, signaling, electromechanics, and tracks with the STEAM education concept, providing teenagers with a real learning environment to deepen their understanding of rail transportation and cultivate engineering thinking and practical skills.

A representative from BJMTR expressed that the STEAM Education Project aims to help teenagers comprehend popular science knowledge about rail transportation and cultivate their scientific literacy and innovative thinking through interdisciplinary education principles and methods. In the future, BJMTR will continue to expand into more schools and conduct a series of interdisciplinary education activities related to metro systems, allowing more students to enter the world of metro and experience the charm of railway engineering and technology.
