To further strengthen safety awareness among children during metro travel, ahead of the upcoming "Queue Day", BJMTR held Metro Safety Camp activities themed "Metro Safety, Secured by Doors" at Daxing Experimental Primary School and Fengtai Wannian Huacheng Branch School of Beijing Primary School on April 9 and 11, respectively.
Through scenario simulations, fun experiments, and other activities, the initiative aimed to educate 350 students from both schools on metro safety and civility. Teachers participating in the event expressed that the concept of metro platform screen doors and pressure principles, crucial for students’daily commuting, often involve abstract physics concepts that are challenging to grasp through traditional teaching methods. The innovative and engaging safety classes brought by BJMTR cleverly combined physical knowledge with metro safety, broadening students’knowledge and enhancing their awareness of safe travel. It is hoped that BJMTR will continue to provide more high-quality resources and deepen school-enterprise cooperation to support students‘ safe travels.
Officials from BJMTR stated that the company always upholds the principle of "safety first, quality service", continuously striving to offer citizens safe and high-quality travel experience. Young people are an important group of metro passengers, and BJMTR Safety Camp conducted at schools aims to disseminate safety and civility knowledge regarding metro travel in a lively manner, strengthening the safety awareness of young children and adolescents to ensure a safer and more orderly metro journey. In the future, BJMTR will continue to carry out the BJMTR Safety Camp activities in collaboration with schools, communities, and other stakeholders to create a safe and civilized travel environment together.
