On the occasion of the 2025 National Health Literacy Promotion Month, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport, Beijing Municipal Health Commission, and BJMTR co-organized, with the technical support of Beijing Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and innovatively created the "M·Health Theme Activity — Metro Health Boost Program". The event was officially launched on June 20 at Chaoyang Park Station on Line 14 of BJMTR.
The event was uniquely conceived with ingenuity, creating an immersive space for disseminating health knowledge for passengers through the meticulous creation of themed stations, the launch of special health-themed trains, and the conduct of diverse online and offline interactive activities. Here, while serving as a means for daily commuting, the metro also transforms into a "mobile science popularization station," guiding citizens to choose green travel while actively paying attention to their physical and mental health, and helping to foster healthy lifestyle.
The themed station has been ingeniously transformed into a health recharge station, adding novelty to travel
The metro passage has been transformed into a health life guide, and trash bins have become "emotional recycling bins"... From June 20 to July 20, Chaoyang Park Station on BJMTR Line 14 became a health-themed station that combines knowledge, fun, and interactivity. Centered around the three main themes of healthy eating, scientific exercise, and improving sleep, the station space has been ingeniously utilized, with facilities, walls, and pillars all serving as promoters of health knowledge, allowing passengers to easily access health information and learn practical healthy lifestyle tips and weight management techniques during their daily commutes.
The theme train is launched, offering fun health tips for commuters to enjoy on their commute
In addition to themed stations, a health-themed special train has officially debuted. Boarding this themed train on BJMTR Line 14, passengers are greeted by distinctive designs such as "What Kind of Metro Health Player Are You?" and "Neck Salvation for Office Workers." Consisting of six carriages, this themed train ingeniously integrates health concepts, including improving sleep quality and moderately increasing physical activity, into the metro travel scenario. It calls on passengers to pay attention to daily behavioral habits during fragmented commuting time, thereby inspiring reflection and resonance on healthy lifestyles.
Online and offline interactions for health literacy enhancement
On June 20, during the event, BJMTR conducted fun check-in activities at Chaoyang Park Station on Line 14. Passengers could check their weight status by spinning the BMI wheel; gain practical advice on improving sleep quality at the "Workers' Relaxation Zone"; and unlock tips for exercising during fragmented time in metro journeys at the interactive zones, encouraging everyone to stay active during busy trips and utilize every moment for a healthier self.
