The Operation of 5 Additional Multiple Units at Beijing South Railway Station Feeds More Passengers to BJL4 Remarkably

From Jan. 19, 2010, the terminus of 5 Shanghai – Beijing Multiple Units is changed from Beijing Railway Station to Beijing South Railway Station. Since the start and arrival time of these 5 trains is within the morning or evening peak hour of BJL4, data shows the inlet passenger flow at peak hours at Beijing South Railway Station of BJL4 increased by 18% and the passenger flow at peak hours is about 50% higher than that of normal hours.

Entering January, daily average patronage of BJL4 increases steadily as the forming of student flow and festival journey passenger flow. The daily average patronage is 11% higher than previous month, up to 610,000.
