The 3rd Expedition on Ancient Buildings of BJL4 Children University – Go into Beijing University, Find the Tradition of Beijing University and Spirit of Beijing

October 19, the last expedition on ancient building in 2013 was carried out in Beijing University. Over a hundred children and their parents registered via official Weibo of BJMTR and Foreign Language Teaching and Research Institute went into Beijing University. Guided by Professor Xiao Dongfa,  they explored the ancient buildings in the campus of Beijing University, had a glimpse of the tradition and spirit of this old university.

BJL4 Children’s University is a cultural public welfare project jointly hosted by BJMTR and Foreign Language Teaching and Research Institute. It use metro – a public travel channel – to distribute information and recruit student, establish a boundless “higher education forum”. Children at school and their parents are the targeted beneficiaries of this project. Experts, scholars and professors will be invited to BJL4 stations to share the knowledge about protection of ancient buildings, transport and foreign language.  The aim is to guide the children to explore professional knowledge in these fields, cultivate their appetite for knowledge, entrepreneur spirit, public service spirit and the desire to take social responsibility.
