Back-to-Town Passenger Flow Gets Peak in This Week, a 6% Increase at Beijing South Railway Station

With the ending of CNY festival, BJL4, DXL and BJL14 are facing large passenger flow in the coming week.  Patronage at these lines is increasing continuously after the CNY festival. Currently, the average daily patronage is up to 970K at BJL4 (29% higher than that before the holiday), 227K at DXL (32.8% higher than that before the holiday) and 28K at BJL14 (40% higher than that before the holiday).

It is estimated that large passenger flow formed by students back to school and citizens back from holiday will last to a week after Feb. 14. The patronage will still increase during the time.  BJMTR is well prepared and made plan to add additional trains when needed to ensure smooth travel of the passengers.
