February 8, 2015, on behalf of Beijing Municipal Government, Beijing Municipal Transport Committee initialed BJL16 Concession Agreement (CA) with BJMTR. Upon this CA, BJMTR will participate in the investment, construction of operation of BJL16 in PPP mode and obtains the operation right of BJL16 for 30 years.
Responsible person of BJMTR said, BJL16 in service will enhance the connectivity of Haidian Shanhou region with Beijing down town areas, relieve the transport pressure of this region to down town areas. It will play an important role in the development of Shanhou region. BJMTR will actively participate in the construction and operation of this line while ensure high quality services at its operating lines based on its experiences gained in these years, contribute more to the development of metro sector in Beijing.
