In the morning of May 30, sound of poem reading was vibrating in the Comprehensive compound of National Library. The first episode of BJL4 Children’s University 2015 was held at National Library. Professor Zhan Furui, former Chief Librarian of National Library and Doctoral Supervisor was invited to guide children to appreciation poems.
BJL4 Children University is a large public welfare project jointed initiated by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Institute and BJMTR. It takes metro system as a platform to serve children and their families. Through visiting ancient buildings and lecturing on metro technology and non material culture heritage as well as face to face exchange with experts and professionals, children are guided to explore knowledge in various fields, to cultivate their desire in learning, their ambition and their sense of social responsibility. It is to be built as an higher education institute without wall and door.
