Operation hour of morning peak of Daxing Line operated by BJMTR extended by 20 minutes, travel experience further improved

To further enhance travel experience of passengers of Daxing Line during morning peak hours, BJMTR has once again optimized the operation organization on the basis of continuing the operation of the mode of combined long-turn and short-turn routing. From January 3, the morning peak operation hour of Daxing Line will be extended by 20 minutes on weekdays, providing great convenience for passengers during the morning peak.

During morning peak hour of Line 4-Daxing on weekdays, empty trains of short-turn routing  (Huangcun Xidajie station – Zhongguancun station) starting from Huangcun Xidajie increases from 21 to 25. The last empty train from Huangcun Xidajie is adjusted from 7:42 to 08:02, and the operation hour of morning peak (that is, the minimum headway applied) extends more 20 minutes. On the other direction, empty trains from Zhongguancun increases from 15 to 21, the last empty train from Zhongguancun is adjusted from 8:46 to 9:11. The operation hour (the minimum headway applied ) of morning peak extends more 25 minutes. The time of short-turn routing (Xingong station – Anheqiao Bei (N) station) is adjusted from 8:09 to 8:25 with the long-turn routing (Tiangong Yuan station - Anheqiao Bei (N) station) unchanged.

It is expected that this adjustment will effectively alleviate the pressure of passenger flow at the stations of Daxing Line during morning peak hours and balance transport capacity of lines. It will also shorten waiting time of passengers and make commuting more convenient. With the minimum headway operation hour extended, the transport capacity during morning peak hours can increase by 17%, that is, more than 5,000 passengers can be transported in one direction during this period.
