The north section of Line 17 operated by BJMTR will be opened on December 30, 2023 (Saturday). On the same day, Line 16 will also achieve through-train service. After the opening of these two new lines（sections）, the route length of lines operated by BJMTR will exceed 190 kilometers.
To provide a safer and more comfortable travel environment for passengers, each station in the north section of Line 17 is equipped with "family-style" barrier-free toilets and a baby care lounge. At Taiyanggong station, some of the elevators are double-sided opening to create a travel-friendly environment for people of all ages. Additionally, to create a more convenient travel experience, BJMTR has customized transfer walking signs at Taiyanggong station in the north section of Line 17. Large-size letter signs have been placed at the entrances of each station, and noticeable "priority seating" signs are posted inside the trains. Furthermore, after the new line put into operation, the station service robot "Jingtiezai" will also debut at Taiyanggong station in the north section of Line 17, providing additional services to passengers together with the staff.
