BJMTR fully supports the "Back to School" season, taking multiple measures to ensure smooth travel for passengers

As the autumn semester for universities and primary/secondary schools approaches in September, college students are returning to campus and freshmen are registering. Due to the combined effects of commuting and school attendance, the patronage of lines operated by BJMTR is expected to increase. BJMTR has entered "Back to School" support mode, implementing various measures to ensure the safety and smooth travel of passengers.

1. Sufficient capacity to ensure travel: BJMTR has optimized train operations and passenger services to guarantee ample capacity. Each line plans to have 15 spare trains available in the main line and depot daily and is prepared to add additional trains based on passenger flow conditions.

2. Setting up convenient direction cards for easier travel: BJMTR has set up convenient direction cards at nine stations, including Beijing South Railway Station, Xizhimen Station, and Xingong Station on Line 4-Daxing; Lize Shangwuqu Station and Dawang Lu Station on Line 14; Fengtai Railway Station, Erligou Station, and Bei’anhe Station on Line 16; and Taiyanggong Station on Line 17. These stations are located near major train transfer points and large shopping centers, providing helpful guidance for passengers.

3. New sign for smoother travel: To address the challenge of similar environments within stations, which can make it difficult for passengers to accurately describe their location after getting separated, BJMTR is actively responding to passenger needs. Clear and prominent Meeting Point signs have been trialed in the middle of the concourses at Tiangongyuan Station on Line 4 -Daxing, Dongfeng Beiqiao Station on Line 14, Yuyuantan Park East Gate Station on Line 16, and Hongjunying Station on Line 17 to provide more considerate and convenient services for passengers. At the same time, upgrades have been made to the prompts on 145 AFG facades at five stations: Beijing Zoo Station and Tiangongyuan Station on Line 4 -Daxing , Chaoyang Park Station on Line 14, Yuyuantan Park East Gate Station on Line 16, and Workers' Stadium Station on Line 17. For the first time, warm reminders such as “Children first, for peace of mind; luggage follows, pass closely” have been posted on the wide-channel AFG wings to ensure passengers can enter and exit the stations safely and smoothly.

4. Enhancing service at stations near universities, primary and secondary schools: During peak hours, staff will be stationed at key locations such as platforms and concourses at these stations.
