New passenger "meeting points" with warm reminders posted on wide-channel AFG wings—BJMTR implements various considerate measures to ensure smooth travel for passengers during the summer travel season

The summer travel season in 2024 starts on July 1st and ends on August 31st, with a total of 62 days. During the travel season, about 136.799 million passengers were carried by lines operated by BJMTR, of which the patronage of Line 4-Daxing reached about 63.961million, the patronage of Line 14 reached about 47.501 million, the patronage of Line 16 reached about 17.278 million, the patronage of south section of Line 17 reached about 4.21 million and the patronage of north section of Line 17 reached about 3.849 million.

To ensure smooth travel for passengers, BJMTR has proactively made meticulous arrangements in areas such as passenger flow organization, passenger services, and equipment maintenance. They are trialing a new operating schedule for the Line 4-Daxing and are fully committed to flood prevention measures. Additionally, new passenger "meeting points" and warm reminders posted on wide-channel AFG wings have been implemented to facilitate smooth travel during the summer travel season.

In response to the heavy rainfall during the summer travel season, BJMTR has implemented multiple measures. Each station has strictly adhered to the "one station, one map, one plan" approach, providing a total of 800,000 pieces of flood prevention supplies across 24 categories, including flood sandbags, flood barriers, disposable raincoats, drainage pumps, emergency generators, and rescue vehicles. They have also promptly distributed disposable raincoats to passengers, ensuring the passengers’ safe travel during the flood season.

During the summer travel season, stations of BJMTR detected a total of 20,025 prohibited items. Train attendants handled various situations 598 times and assisted 40 lost children and elderly individuals in finding their families, ensuring the overall safety of passengers' travel.
