To help teenagers deepen their understanding of metro knowledge and spark their curiosity in rail transit-related engineering and technology, BJMTR recently joined hands with communities along Lines 17, 14 and Daxing Line to deliver three metro STEAM courses themed around escalators. The sessions were held at the Shibalidian Township New Era Civilization Practice Center, the Tianshui Xiyuan Community New Era Civilization Practice Station and the Shouzuo Yuyuan Sanli Community New Era Civilization Practice Station, drawing over a hundred teenagers who actively engaged in hands-on model building to uncover the engineering ingenuity behind everyday travel.
A representative from BJMTR noted that through its STEAM education program, the company brings authentic rail transit scenarios into the classroom, igniting children's interest in metro engineering and enhancing their cross-disciplinary thinking and problem-solving skills through practice. Looking ahead, BJMTR will further integrate rail transit industry resources, expand the coverage of its STEAM courses, and build an open platform for teenagers' science popularization and hands-on exploration, fostering their engineering enthusiasm and innovative potential to contribute to the future development of the rail transit industry.
