Multiple Measures Safeguard 62-Day Summer Travel Season — BJMTR Safely Transports Approximately 137 Million Passengers

The 2026 summer travel season ran from July 1 to August 31, lasting 62 days. During this period, BJMTR organized meticulously and made thorough arrangements, from train operation organization and passenger service to equipment maintenance, ensuring passengers enjoyed safe and smooth journeys throughout the 62-day period with round-the-clock dedication.
During the summer travel season, lines operated by BJMTR safely carried approximately 137 million passengers. Among them, Line 4-Daxing recorded a ridership of approximately 54.935 million, Line 14 approximately 43.271 million, Line 16 approximately 18.931 million, and Line 17 approximately 19.898 million. A total of 212 additional train services were deployed, effectively ensuring smooth passenger travel.
Among the lines operated by BJMTR, the top three stations by daily station traffic during the summer travel season were Beijing South Railway Station on Line 4-Daxing, Fengtai Railway Station on Line 16, and Xihong Men Station on Line 4-Daxing, with Beijing South Railway Station on Line 4-Daxing reaching a peak daily station traffic of 294,000. The top three stations by transfer traffic were Jiaomen Xi (W) Station on Line 4-Daxing, Jintai Lu Station on Line 14, and National Library Station on Line 4-Daxing. In response to passenger flow conditions at stations, BJMTR deployed measures to focus on strengthening platform order management, optimizing walking routes, and enhancing staff guidance to ensure smooth passenger travel.
