Patronage of lines operated by BJMTR totals 54.053 million during Spring Festival travel rush

The Spring Festival 2023 travel rush starts on January 7 and ends on February 15 with a period of 40 days. During the Spring Festival travel rush, to ensure safe and smooth travel of passengers, BJMTR has taken various measures to closely monitor the weather and passenger flow, and to make arrangements for train operations and passenger flow guidance at stations with high passenger traffic. Patronage of lines operated by BJMTR totals 54.053 million, seeing an increase of 6.4% compared with last year (January 17 to February 25, 2022). Among which, Line 4-Daxing account for a total of 26.766 million. Line 14 accounts for a total of 20.273 million and Line 16 accounts for 5.564 million. Line 17 accounts for a total of 1.45 million.

During the spring travel rush, a total of 67,974 train trips are dispatched on all lines operated by BJMTR. Among which, 156 trains were additionally dispatched which has ensured the smooth travel of passengers. 24,967 train trips were dispatched on Line 4-Daxing,19,375 train trips are dispatched on Line 14,11,684 train trips were dispatched on Line 16 and 11,948 train trips were dispatched on Line 17 which ensures the stable and orderly organization of passenger.

Meanwhile, BJMTR strengthen communication with the railway according to the features of passengers flow of Beijing South Railway Station of Line 4, Dongfeng Beiqiao station of Line 14, Fengtai Railway Station of Line 16 to grasp the information such as increased number of trains and the concentrated arrival time of passenger flow, which has ensured the smooth transfer of the passengers. From January 7 to February 15, Line 4, Line 14, and Line 16 extended operation for 14 days and ensured smooth travel of passengers arriving in Beijing at night.
