December 30, 2023 (Saturday) to January 5, 2024 (Friday) marks the first week that the north section of Line 17 opens as well as Line 16 achieves through-train service. 308,000 passengers are carried with average daily patronage of 44,000 on the north section of Line 17. 1.652 million passengers are carried with average daily patronage of 236,000 on Line 16.
By 5 January, among the station with large traffic of the north section of Line 17, the Workers' Stadium station has a daily passenger traffic of 12,000 and Tiantongyuandong station has a daily passenger traffic of 11,800.
Taiyanggong station of the north section of Line 17 and Suzhou Jie station of Line 16 can be interchanged with Line 10. In the first week of opening, Taiyanggong station of Line 17 has the interchange traffic of 190,000 and Suzhou Jie station of Line 16 has the interchange traffic of 240,000.
