Beijing Metro Line 17

 

In December 2019, BJMTR and Beijing Metro Line 17 Investment Co., Ltd( (a subsidiary of BIIC) officially signed the "Beijing Metro Line 17 Project O&M Agreement (with Rolling Stocks Lease)".

 

Line 17 is located in the eastern part of Beijing and is a high-capacity express line running from south to north. It starts from Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area in the south and extends to Beijing Future Science and Technology City in Changping District in the north, passing through Tongzhou District, Chaoyang District, Dongcheng District, Changping District, and Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. The line is opened in sections. The entire line is underground, with a total of 21 stations. Line 17 uses 8-car type A trains with a design speed of 100 km/h.

 

On December 31, 2021, the southern section of Line 17 (Jiahuihu station -Shilihe station) opens for operation. The line has 7 stations.

 

On December 30, 2023, the northern section of Line 17 (Future Science City North station - Workers' Stadium station) commences operation The line consists of 10 stations, with the temporary suspension of Wangjing Xi station.

 

On December 27, 2025, the middle section of Line 17 (Shilihe station - Workers' Stadium station) commences operation, with a total of 4 stations,with the temporary suspension of Guangqumen Wai station. Since then, Line 17 commences full line operation.
