Line 14 of BJMTR has increased its morning and evening peak capacity on weekdays, making it more convenient for passengers to travel

To continuously optimize passengers' travel experience, BJMTR has conducted ongoing research and analysis, considering the waiting times at various stations on Line 14 and passenger flow distribution during different periods. Based on the existing large transport capacity, we have continuously explored potential improvements. Starting from May 11, 2024, Line 14 will adopt a new train timetable to make passengers' journeys more convenient.

To meet the commuting needs of passengers during morning and evening peak hours, the section from Lize Shangwuqu Station to Shan’gezhuang Station on Line 14 will implement early departures and increase the frequency of train services during peak periods. This will result in an earlier deployment of up to 19 minutes for the morning peak capacity in the upward direction, with the departure time from Lize Shangwuqu Station changing from the original 6:41 to 6:22. Similarly, the downward morning peak capacity will be deployed 23 minutes earlier, with the departure time from Shan’gezhuang Station changing from the original 6:35 to 6:12. The upward evening peak capacity will be deployed 12 minutes earlier, with the departure time from Lize Shangwuqu Station changing from the original 17:31 to 17:19, making it more convenient for passengers to travel. It is estimated that this adjustment will effectively alleviate passenger flow pressure during morning and evening peak hours on the section from Lize Shangwuqu Station to Shan’gezhuang Station on Line 14, balance the line's transport capacity, reduce passenger waiting times, and enable the transportation of an additional 7,000 passengers during the morning peak and over 3,700 passengers during the upward evening peak.
